Remote Fetal Monitoring

If yours is considered a high-risk pregnancy or you live in a remote area of Deep East Texas, remote fetal monitoring may be offered. Our office utilizes Nuvo, the world’s first FDA-cleared, self-administered, fully remote pregnancy monitoring system.

With this system, expectant mothers can monitor maternal and fetal heart rates and contractions from anywhere in the world while seamlessly transmitting real-time data to our office. This can significantly reduce in-person visits as the data provided through Nuvo is comparable to the fetal surveillance procedures performed by our care team. Twice-weekly checkups in the last trimester are often prescribed to perform such procedures but with Nuvo, you would simply perform the test where it is convenient for you.

During scheduled remote monitoring sessions, you will be in contact with a member of our care team as they review the results. You can also perform this monitoring on your own and view live results via an accompanying app.

If you'd like to explore the option of remote fetal monitoring, be sure to ask about it at your next appointment!
